‘AVENTURA EN PELOTAS: ESPAÑA’ PREMIERES ON DMAX

For the first time, ten Spanish adventurers pair up and face 21 days completely naked, isolated in the heart of the Colombian jungle, battling nature’s toughest challenges alongside complete strangers

A global benchmark in the adventure and survival genre, this iconic format returns in its first Spanish adaptation with AVENTURA EN PELOTAS: ESPAÑA. After eleven seasons and dozens of versions in over 40 countries, the show arrives on DMAX this Sunday 4 May at 14:00, with a double premiere showcasing the first Spanish contestants ever to take on the challenge of a lifetime: ten participants – six men and four women – will attempt to survive in pairs for three weeks in the Colombian jungle, without food, water, clothing, or shelter, armed only with one tool and one personal item.

Originally released on Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform, the seven-episode series (each 50 minutes long) produced by Warner Bros. ITVP España is now coming to free-to-air television via DMAX. Following the TV premiere of the first two episodes, a new episode will air each Sunday at 15:00 starting 11 May.

AVENTURA EN PELOTAS: ESPAÑA offers its participants a formidable challenge: to strip away everything and experience the closest thing possible to how the first humans survived. To endure the 21 days, they’ll need resilience, resourcefulness, creativity, and both physical and mental strength. Unlike the original version, this edition allows viewers to follow the journey of all five couples in parallel, rather than focusing on a single pair per episode.

Meet the 10 participants
José, Ainara, Adrián, Alba, Félix, Atenea, Iñaki, Genís, Sara and Antonio are the ten brave Spaniards taking on this adventure in one of the world’s most dangerous and untamed environments. Divided into five pairs – four mixed and one all-male – each contestant must survive stark naked alongside a total stranger.

With vastly different backgrounds, most have some survival knowledge and all share the same goal: to make it to the end. From spiritual adventurers whose bond is tested by hunger and exhaustion, to a mismatched nomadic duo, and a pair brought together by shared skills and clashing personalities — tensions, alliances and dramatic turning points abound. One duo, initially thrown by having a same-sex partner, soon face breakdowns in their survival strategies, while another couple, with completely opposite worldviews, clash in a constant jungle learning curve.

Each pair's Primitive Survival Rating (PSR) is revealed at the beginning, based on their knowledge, resilience and skills. Together, they must face adversity and learn to cooperate. Viewers can expect a rollercoaster of personal strategies, intense arguments, emotional breakthroughs, and powerful bonds, all while fending off hunger, illness, insect swarms, wild animals, and brutal weather.

The Colombian Jungle: Nature at its Most Hostile
The Colombian jungle is the unforgiving backdrop for this survival challenge. It provides all the conditions needed for a truly primal experience. From mosquito-infested swamps and pitch-black forest floors to sun-scorched plains and rocky hills with little shelter, each couple must adapt to their assigned zone.

As the days pass, the intensity escalates. Their survival will depend on their ability to hunt, fish, forage, find water and endure the harshest of conditions. Only those with physical endurance, mental grit and creative problem-solving will persevere.

This show explores human endurance and adaptation in the most extreme natural conditions, pushing ten individuals back to the basics in a raw battle against themselves and the wild. In this epic journey, pain, hunger and fatigue are just the beginning. AVENTURA EN PELOTAS: ESPAÑA reveals the essence of humanity: camaraderie and loyalty, conflict and betrayal, fear, pride, and resilience. Ten set off… but how many will make it to Day 21?
