ANTENA 3 PREMIERES ‘THE QUIZ WITH BALLS' ON WEDNESDAY 3 SEPTEMBER

A brand-new prime time game show hosted by Juanra Bonet

The hit Dutch format 'The Quiz with Balls' arrives on Antena 3 ('Juego de pelotas'), presented by Juanra Bonet, on Wednesday 3 September at 10:50 p.m. Antena 3 continues to strengthen its commitment to internationally successful entertainment formats with this new show, which has already proven a success across Europe, the United States and Latin America.

'The Quiz with Balls' pits brains against balls, combining a high-stakes quiz show with a hilarious physical twist: get it wrong, and you’ll end up in the water. Each episode sees two groups competing for a cash prize in this “battle of the balls”. Six giant balls, one pool, two teams, five players each… and a host ready to test their knowledge to the limit.

These are the ingredients of 'The Quiz with Balls', the new Antena 3 competition show produced by Atresmedia in collaboration with Warner Bros. ITVP Spain. An explosive mix of humour, knowledge and spectacular wipe-outs, it promises to be unmissable family entertainment. The series was filmed at Talpa Studios’ production hub in the Netherlands.

Juanra Bonet takes the helm of another big-format game show after presenting Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, The Celebrity Circle and, more recently, Traitors Spain.

Outside Spain, 'The Quiz with Balls' will also be available on Antena 3 Internacional and the international version of atresplayer.

How Quiz with Balls works
In each episode, which blends high-stakes quiz competition with large-scale physical challenges, two teams face off on an elevated platform with one simple goal: stay dry… and win the cash.

Two teams of five go head-to-head, answering multiple-choice questions while standing in front of giant balls. Only one answer is incorrect. As soon as the host declares “balls in play”, the balls roll down the ramp. Anyone standing on the wrong answer is knocked into the pool and eliminated, while players on correct answers are spared to continue to the next round.

Each correct answer adds €1,000 to the team’s prize pot, with the value increasing each round until reaching €5,000 per question in the final stage. The team with the most money at the end advances to the grand final.

In the final round, one contestant must identify five correct answers from a single multiple-choice question chosen between two categories. If successful, the team wins the €100,000 jackpot. If not, and they fall into the pool, they only take home the money accumulated throughout the game.

Season One kicks off with familiar faces
The very first episode of 'The Quiz with Balls' promises plenty of laughs, surprises… and splashes. Two celebrity teams will battle it out, putting their knowledge, nerves and balance to the test.

One team of comedians will take on a team of singers, all ready to get soaked for a good cause. David Fernández, Susi Caramelo, El Monaguillo, Henar Álvarez and Agustín Jiménez will face Rosa López, Blas Cantó, Angy, Carlos Baute and Melody.

A fun-filled contest to see which team can stay dry the longest and claim up to €100,000, which will be donated in full to charity.

An international hit format
Atresmedia is adapting 'De Kwis met Ballen' (Talpa Studios), the international hit format originally created in the Netherlands, where it has already aired for two successful seasons. Its popularity has gone global, reaching the United States where it airs on FOX to strong audience reception.

'The Quiz with Balls' is a weekly game show that has triumphed in the Netherlands, the US, Germany and Argentina, with three more adaptations on the way — including the brand-new Spanish version landing on Antena 3 this September.
