‘GRANJAS EN ACCIÓN: THE CHALLENGES OF RURAL LIFE, THIS AUTUMN ON DMAX

Produced by Warner Bros. ITVP Spain, the series offers an authentic and close-up look at those who work the land and care for livestock

DMAX has unveiled its upcoming autumn line-up, which includes the launch of ‘Granjas en acción’ (‘Farming in action’). This new documentary series travels across different regions of Spain to showcase the often invisible work of the agri-food sector — a cornerstone of the country’s economy, culture and identity.

With privileged access to the daily lives of farmers and livestock breeders, the series reveals how, through effort and determination, they manage to put food on our tables in an increasingly uncertain context. Across its episodes, viewers will witness the major challenges faced in the countryside — from adapting to climate change, modernising processes and ensuring generational renewal, to tackling pests, droughts and heavy rains. Alongside these big issues are the everyday hurdles: machinery breakdowns, delays in supplies or neighbourhood disputes that can jeopardise an entire season.

‘Granjas en acción’, produced by Warner Bros. ITVP Spain, offers a genuine and human perspective on those who cultivate the land and raise livestock. From artisanal food production to sowing and harvesting emblematic crops, or rearing animals for consumption, each episode highlights the passion, diversity and expertise that thrive in rural life. Beyond the difficulties, the series pays tribute to the dedication of the men and women who, through their hard work and deep connection to the land, keep alive a sector that remains essential to us all.
