LIDIA SANTOS JOINS THE ‘FIRST DATES’ TEAM
The international model, who will take on the role of waitress, is already immersed in the filming of the new season’s episodes alongside Carlos Sobera, Matías Roure, and twins Cristina and Marisa Zapata
Welcoming singletons to the table where they might just find love, looking after them during their evening, easing the nerves of those approaching their date with some trepidation, and sharing in their very first impressions – these will be some of the duties of Lidia Santos, the new waitress on First Dates. She is already at work on the upcoming season, joining the team led by Carlos Sobera, alongside Matías Roure and the twins Cristina and Marisa Zapata.
Lidia Santos, crowned Miss Málaga 2011 and an international model, has fronted numerous fashion and advertising campaigns, working with high-profile professionals including Elsa Pataky.
“Working on television has always been a dream of mine, and to be able to do so on such a beloved and long-standing programme as First Dates is something very special,” says Lidia Santos as she makes her debut in front of the cameras in her new role. “I’m a lover of life and a firm believer in love, so being part of a format where people come looking for it makes me feel truly connected to what we do.”
She adds: “I hope this new chapter allows me to grow both professionally and personally, to learn from the team and experience first-hand all that goes into making a television show with such history. I want to bring my freshness, energy, and warmth so that our guests feel at ease and enjoy the experience. And above all, I hope to have a lot of fun – and for the audience to see a different side of me from what they may already know.”
