LIDIA SANTOS MAKES HER DEBUT ON 'FIRST DATES'

“I never expected such a warm welcome. From the very first day, I felt a wonderful connection with my colleagues. Even though we haven’t been working together for long, they’ve made me feel like part of the family,” says Lidia Santos, who will make her debut as the new waitress on First Dates Monday, 27 October. She joins the team led by the show’s host and maître d’, Carlos Sobera, alongside Matías Roure, the barman, and twin sisters Cristina and Marisa Zapata, who also serve as waitresses at the restaurant.

For Lidia Santos, Miss Málaga 2011 and international model, “Carlos, the twins, and Matías are incredible colleagues, both on and off camera. They’re outstanding professionals, and I’m learning so much from them.” She also highlighted the work of the technical crew behind the scenes: “From the very first to the very last member of the team, everyone is always helping, advising, and paying attention to every detail. They make each working day truly wonderful.”

In the First Dates episode airing on Monday, 27 October, the restaurant doors will open to welcome Lluis, an artist and content creator from Barcelona with a mind as hyperactive and avant-garde as his work. His date will be Manuela, an Italian international consultant based in Barcelona, who leads a highly structured life. Will sparks fly between them?

The restaurant will also set the scene for Borja, a personal trainer looking for someone who shares his healthy lifestyle and values of discipline and balance, and María, a nutritionist from Madrid whose main priority is wellbeing.

Two kind-hearted souls will also take a chance on love: Carmen, a paramedic technician from Barcelona determined to find someone with whom to share her time and joy, and Francesc, a driver from Terrassa who works for an association supporting people with disabilities.

In addition, Mercedes, a retired waitress, and Julio, a retired builder, are both widowed and share a similar outlook on life. They’ll prove that true connection knows no age.

Finally, David and Gerard — two complete opposites — will meet for a date filled with spontaneity, mystery, and contrasts.
