‘FIRST DATES’ RECEIVES THE DIVERSA TV AWARD 2026

The Diversa Global Association recognises the programme for showcasing diversity “with authenticity, warmth and honesty”

‘First Dates’ has received the Diversa TV Award 2026, presented by the Diversa Global Association during the latest edition of the Diversa Awards, held on 29 May. The award recognises the programme “for showcasing diversity with authenticity, warmth and honesty” and for having created “a space where every story and every way of loving has a place”.

Over the years, ‘First Dates’ has reflected the diversity of society through dates, relationships and personal stories portrayed with sincerity and respect.

The Diversa Global Association also highlighted “the programme’s contribution to the normalisation of LGBTQ+ representation on television through entertainment, respect and emotion”.

Diversa Global is a non-profit organisation that works to promote and embed diversity in society and ensure the inclusion of the LGBTIQ+ community.
